For reasons of textual clarity and enhanced readability, this website deliberately eschews the use of diacritical markers or typographical innovations intended to explicitly indicate gender—a practice commonly referred to as “gendering.” Instead, in nominal derivatives denoting persons—that is, nouns designating agents, role-bearers, or other earthly beings—the generic masculine is employed in its fully inclusive and gender-neutral function, wherever grammatical convention so requires. This practice is particularly attentive to the needs of individuals with reading difficulties, visual impairments, neurodivergent backgrounds, as well as those who speak German as a second language or have acquired it beyond the borders of Germany.
