The log cabin at Goldbach is a traditionally built shelter in the Rabenstein Forest, a district of Chemnitz in Saxony. It was built in 2005 by carpentry apprentices from the Don Bosco factory in Burgstädt under the supervision of master carpenter Nils Rabending, together with forester Ullrich Göthel, trainee Fabian Lippoldt and the Rabenstein environmental education region (UBR). Only local woods such as spruce, larch and red oak were used for the construction. The log cabin serves as a resting place for hikers and cyclists and is located in the middle of the Rabenstein forest. Nearby sights include the ruined gate at the Poltermühlenteich pond, the Pfaffenberg mountain, the Oberrabenstein game reserve, the Rabenstein reservoir and Rabenstein Castle.
